Piedmont Bible Camp Came Back!
Piedmont Bible Camp Came Back!
After a three-year hiatus, Hartland Institute again held its annual weeklong camp for youth, ages 12–17.
In case you’re not familiar with Piedmont Bible Camp (PBC), its purpose is for each camper to experience the beauty and inspiration of nature, attend fun classes and activities, discover new ways to enjoy Bible study, deepen their personal relationship with God, and make friends for eternity.
The theme for PBC 2023 (June 11–18) was “Overcomers.” The campers were divided into three boys’ units and three girls’ units. Five outreach classes, seven recreational classes, and nine life skills classes were offered.
Every camper attended the campfire talks, given by Pastor Christian Martin of the Living Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church, and the Deep Bible Study class, taught by Hartland College graduate Raynald Sajous.
During the farewell worship on Sunday morning, campers made decisions to be baptized or to recommit their lives to God.
A new PBC feature this year was the follow-up small-group Bible studies that counselors held online as an extension of their unit worships. The studies, emphasizing the three angels’ messages, were offered to support the campers in their spiritual walk after camp.
A first-year camper tells us, “I didn’t want to come. I even prayed to not come. But I do not regret it. I really loved camp! I enjoyed my classes. I even enjoyed line call. I enjoyed my friends in my unit. I loved them a lot!”
Join us next year for PBC 2024!
