August, 2025  Update from the President

Dear Friends,

Greetings in Christ’s name!
As a partner in mission, I thought you’d be encouraged to know what makes Hartland College students truly exceptional. The fruit of your support is seen in young people being trained not only academically, but spiritually, practically, and missionally.

Here are six key strengths that define our student body and make Hartland College a uniquely impactful institution:

1. Career-Ready for Ministry:
More than 90% of Hartland students have a job offer related to their major and ministry focus before graduation.

2. Engaged in Active Ministry: All of our students are involved in outreach, soul-winning, and mission trips while studying. Even more inspiring, 90% of our graduates go on to serve in active ministry.

3. In High Demand:
We receive more mission and ministry job placement requests than we have students to send. The demand for Hartland graduates is consistently greater than the supply.

4. Leaders in the Field: Our alumni are known for establishing new centers of influence and serving as prominent leaders in frontline ministry work around the world.

5. Cross-Cultural and Practical:
With a hands-on, mission-focused education, our students know how to relate to people from different cultures and are recognized for their humble, Christlike service.

6. Debt-Free Missionaries:
Most of our students graduate debt-free, thanks to our Missionary Training Fund, Worthy Student Scholarship, and Work Education Programs—freeing them to serve God without financial burdens.

Our Mission

To equip missionaries to transform the world through Christ.

We are training missionaries to touch people’s lives with God’s love through a biblically based educational program that combines academics with practical service and outreach.

We Envision

Hartland alumni serving in every nation, supporting the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to prepare the world for Christ’s soon return.

Our Motto

Educating for Eternity, Serving Today!

90% of our graduates go on to serve in active ministry

To give you a glimpse of what this looks like in action, we’ve included a photo report of recent activities our students have participated in—spreading the gospel, serving communities, and putting their training into practice. Your prayers and support make this possible. Thank you for investing in a new generation of self-sacrificing, mission-minded leaders. May God continue to bless you abundantly! With gratitude and hope,

Thank you so much for your support and prayers that make missions like this possible.

In His service,

Norbert Restrepo
President, Hartland College

A new generation of mission-minded leaders

New International Students Join the Mission

As the new school year begins, we are excited to welcome international students who will be arriving soon to be trained as professional missionaries—equipped to carry the third angel’s message to the world. This year, five students from Seychelles, Bolivia, Brazil, China, and Indonesia have received their visas. Another six students from Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Papua New Guinea, and Lebanon are still waiting for visa approval. Please join us in prayer for these pending applications. Thanks to the Missionary Training Fund (MTF), students from around the globe can receive this life-changing training.

Empower the Heart of Hartland

“Where Needed Most” is one of the most vital funds at Hartland College because it provides the flexibility to support areas that keep our mission moving—whether it’s administration, utilities, emergencies, or other pressing needs. Your gift to this fund ensures that nothing stands in the way of our ability to train missionaries, serve the community, and expand our gospel impact.

It allows us to respond quickly and wisely where help is most urgently needed. When you give to “Where Needed Most,” you are directly fueling the mission and vision of Hartland to its fullest extent. Thank you for being part of what God is doing through Hartland College.
