 Highlights of the
PIEDMONT BIBLE CAMP

by Nella Pedragosa

June 2 had finally arrived! Hartland College campus exploded into activity as 88 expectant campers gathered for Piedmont Bible Camp—a week of classes, fun, and spiritual growth.

From time at the farm to plant, prune, and weed, to morning exercise and line call, to an array of classes—campers had plenty of fun activities to enjoy. During Deep Bible Study in the morning with Pastor Sim and campfire talks in the evening with Mr. Christian, the campers were encouraged to dig into their Bibles and discover God for themselves.

Now let’s hear from the campers
what they enjoyed most
about camp:

Elyanhee:

My highlights were the campfire worships by Mr. Christian, line call, and marching.

Caleb:

I enjoyed making new friends.

Yetzley:

I loved Emotional Health class—the teacher, the connections between the Bible and science, and the practical application we made during Sabbath outreach. I learned more about who I am and how I can help others improve their mental wellbeing through Jesus.

Naomi:

One of my highlights at Piedmont was the variety of classes. It was a blessing to participate in Orchestra and share our songs with the nursing home residents during Sabbath outreach. The fun and delicious recipes we created in Kitchen Creations were always a hit. And Medical Missionary Training class was enjoyable and highly educational, making it one of my most memorable experiences at camp. And, of course, the counselors and staff were awesome!

Ilana:

Camp was amazing! From farm time and exercises to line call to campfire, I enjoyed it all! Deep Bible Study in the morning was my highlight this year. It motivated me to take initiative in my own personal devotional life.

Jaden:

My highlights were the water slide and Medical Missionary Training class. The water slide was really fun and gave me a chance to slow down and talk with my friends. I really liked Medical Missionary class because the teacher was very nice and it was fun and exciting at times.

Sophia:

I absolutely loved Piedmont this year! My biggest highlight was reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. I enjoyed connection with other likeminded young people who share my passions—like music and our faith in God.

Norbert:

This was my second year at Piedmont—and it was a blast! Surprisingly, my favorite part of camp was line call. I loved the pushups and other exercises. I also really liked campfire because it helped me get to know God from a different point of view. I made amazing friends and loved my classes. I really recommend that you come to Piedmont Bible Camp!

Every year, we receive wonderful stories from young people all around the country about their experiences at Piedmont. We want to welcome them back to campus next year, along with more new campers. We had a truly gratifying and rewarding experience.

Counselors’ Testimonies

Chipo: One of the greatest things about Piedmont is that the atmosphere is highly spiritual. Regardless of what you are doing, be it line call or unit sharing, your mind is constantly stayed on Christ. It creates an environment that fosters spiritual growth, and it’s easier to build a deeper bond with Christ throughout the week.
Piedmont was such a fulfilling experience for me. It was an eventful week, packed with so many activities, but it was great to have a hands-on experience in leading the young people to Christ. The girls in my unit were like little sisters to me, and it was so great to see them grow throughout the week. I was privileged to be a counselor, and that week is one that I will not soon forget. I can’t wait for next year!

Eli: My personal experience was very blessed. It was difficult getting used to the busy schedule, but the blessing of getting to connect with the young people and seeing how God is working in this generation was deeply fulfilling. I’m thankful for the opportunity to share some of the life lessons I have learned. Hopefully, they can connect more deeply with Jesus and avoid some of the mistakes I made at their age. Praying that this ministry continues to grow and is a blessing to many more young people.
