“I am from the USA and was born into the Seventh-day Adventist faith.” Before coming to serve the Lord here at Hartland Institute, Yolanda lived in Richmond, Virginia, and worked as a Senior Business Analyst for Dominion Energy.

So, what led to her decision to work at Hartland?

First of all, prior to becoming one of our staff members, she had been exposed to the operation and mission of this institution. “Through the years, I attended many Hartland convocations.”

What does Yolanda like most about Hartland? “I like the beautiful mountain views, country lifestyle, and encouraging a positive spiritual focus for telling others about Christ.”

She continues, “I decided to retire early from Dominion Energy and desired to do ministry work for the Lord. My passion is teaching people how to live a healthy lifestyle.”

Yolanda describes her role: “As administrative coordinator, I handle a variety of administrative and clerical duties, such as health guest relations and being the primary point of contact, answering guests’ inquiries, anticipating guests’ needs and building report, confirming travel arrangements, assisting the doctor or nurses with paperwork, teaching the guests’ art activities class, and assisting wherever else needed.”

Yolanda concludes by sharing her vision for her department: “My vision is to ensure that every guest who comes to Hartland Wellness Center has the opportunity to see Christ and to know Him as their personal Savior.” Amen.
